DealMaker Autogroup and The Watertown Rotary Club is pleased to announce the second car raffle to benefit The Rotary Purple Heart Scholarship Fund.
DealMaker Autogroup is the major sponsor of a 2006 Ford Mustang convertible. Tickets can be purchased for $20.00 or 6 for $100.00. The proceeds will be donated to the Rotary Purple Heart Scholarship Fund. The drawing will be held in October of 2006.
In 2004, as part of Rotary’s celebration of one hundred years of service to people throughout the world, the Watertown Rotary Club established a scholarship fund for soldiers of the 10th Mountain division who have been awarded the Purple Heart, and their immediate family members. Funds for this permanent endowment are being raised each year by the Watertown Rotary Club and managed by the Northern New York Community Foundation, which will also match every dollar raised up to $100,000. The first scholarship was awarded in April of this year to a 10th Mountain Division soldier wounded in Afghanistan.
